Ruminote Terms of Use

1. The service

Ruminote is a note-taking app that keeps your notes primarily on your device. Creating an account is optional; an account is required only for synchronization and note sharing. Some features (e.g. advanced AI and note sharing) are unlocked with Ruminote Collab.

2. Your account

• You can create your account with email and password, or by using Sign in with Google.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• You may close your account at any time via Profile → Delete account in the app.

3. Your content

• All notes and content you create belong to you. We claim no ownership of your content.
• Content you do not share stays on your device. When you share a note, that content is synced to our servers end-to-end encrypted; the server cannot read it.
• You are responsible for backing up your content. We are not liable for local data lost after device loss/reset or account deletion.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the App for unlawful purposes; to create or share content that is harmful, harassing, illegal or that infringes others’ rights; or in any way that compromises the security or integrity of the service (unauthorized access, reverse-engineering abuse, overloading, automated abuse).

5. Sharing and collaboration

When you share a note with other users, you represent that you have the right to share that content with them. Ruminote is not responsible for what shared members do with the content.

6. Ruminote Collab, subscriptions and payments

• Purchases are made through Google Play and are subject to the Google Play payment terms. We do not process your payment.
• Subscriptions renew automatically for the period you choose (monthly/yearly) unless you cancel.
• You manage cancellation and plans via Google Play → Subscriptions; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• Refunds are subject to Google Play policies.
• One-time (lifetime) purchases remain valid for as long as the corresponding product is offered.

7. Third-party services

The App uses third-party services such as Google Play Billing, Google Play Services (Nearby and downloadable Google Fonts) and OpenStreetMap for map tiles. Those services have their own terms, and Ruminote is not responsible for them.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. The accuracy of results produced by AI features is not guaranteed.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages (including data loss) arising from use of the App.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. You may end your use at any time by deleting your account.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes in the app or on this page; continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Republic of Türkiye.
