Account & Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your Ruminote account and all associated server-side data at any time.

Delete from within the app (recommended)

1. Open Ruminote and sign in to your account.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Once confirmed, your account and all of your data on our servers are permanently deleted.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, send an email with the subject "Account deletion" from the email address you used to create your account to ruminotedev@ruminote.org. We will process your request within 30 days and notify you of the outcome.

Deleting data without deleting your account

If you do not want to close your account, you can delete some of your data from within the app:

• Delete individual notes (deleting a shared note also removes it from the server).
• Delete media/cards in a note, or remove your profile photo.
• Leave a shared note.

To request bulk deletion of specific data, email ruminotedev@ruminote.org; we will process your request within 30 days.

What is deleted and what is kept

Local notes on your device	Stay only on your device; removed when you uninstall the app

Records that we are legally required to retain (e.g., purchase/billing records) may be kept for the period required by applicable law; such records do not contain your notes or personal contact details.
